Missing Nana....

This is one of my most favorite pictures of all time.  Marlin loved his special time with Nana. While she was living with us they ate lunch together each day.  Her passing has affected him deeply.  I want to make a record of his feelings and how he talks about his Nana.

"Is Nana feeling better yet? Can she come home from Heaven?"

"I miss Nana today, but I know she is on the moon with Papa"

"We need to call the people who bought Nana's house so they know to fill up the bird feeders"

"How old do you have to be to die?"

"You can have birthdays in Heaven, you just don't get any presents"

"Heavenly Father is taking care of Nana now"

Even though it brings tears to my eyes, I love when Marlin talks about Nana.  I don't want him to ever forget her. 

Back to blogging.....

It's been awhile and I am sure no one reads this blog anymore, but that is ok.  It's time to change that.  It has been a very stressful and emotional year.  After losing my beloved Mom in June, I have been thinking that I need to document everything. Especially after going through old pictures and documents of Mom's.  I wish I could write eloquently like many bloggers out there, but I don't have that talent.  This is just a place for me to keep a record of my family so they will have in the future.   Many more pictures and post to come.

Eight Is Great!!

Kyleigh had her 8th Birthday on November 5. Kyleigh is a daughter of Heavenly Father and chose to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Kyleigh was Baptised by her Dad. It was a very special day for her. We are so proud of you Kyleigh.

Marlin, we can't believe that you already 2!! You are growing up so fast. You are starting to communicate more with words and seems like you are turning into a little young man. We love you so much and can't wait to spend many more Birthdays with you. We love you so much!!

Our family vaction this summer was to San Diego. We headed to the Legoland for some fun. It is amazing things that were created from legos. Here are some of our favorite photos.

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was a beautiful day! We spent the day at Uncle Denis and Aunt Mary's house. The kids always have a grea time.

Camping...

During Spring break we went camping...in the back yard. Since Dad doesn't like "real" camping we decided we could have a campout in the back yard. Dad did set up the tent for us, then went to bed comfortably in his own bed. The kids had a great time.

We let Marlin play in the tent for a while with us, then he went to be comfortably in his crib!

It was pretty cool out, so we got all bundled up in lots of blankets!

Happy Birthday Kyleigh

Happy 7th Birthday Kyleigh

Seven years ago today I gave birth to my first child. It is amazing how fast time goes. I cannot believe my first baby is already 7! Kyleigh you are a fantastic young lady. We are so proud of you. You are a great student, friend, sister and daughter. Words can't express how lucky we are to have you in our lives. Please don't grow up too fast! We hope you have a wonderful Birthday! We love you!

Since it is fall break and the weather has been so nice we went to the Scottsdale Stillman Railroad park to ride the train and play. The kids had a great time!

Weekend in Pinetop

On Friday nite we watched the car parade through the main drag of Showlow and Pinetop. We saw all types of cars!
